See What Progress Looks Like, and Imagine What Your's Could Be

Every athlete here is on a long-term development path that is built through communication, individualization, and a process that cares about people first.

Cassidy Walchak-Sloan

From 25:19 to DII All-American

Before: Graduated high school with a 25:19 5k and had never broken 6 minutes in the mile.

After: Ran 16:40 (5k), 4:27 (1500m), became a Division II All-American, and won multiple GNAC titles on the track.

How: We rebuilt her from the ground up; strength, mobility, injury-preventative routines, smart mileage progression (20→40mpw), and long runs up to 11-12 miles.

Why it matters: Cassidy is proof that patience, belief, and individualized coaching can turn the most unlikely athlete into a national caliber.

Kya Ramirez

College Breakthrough + Future Marathoner

Before: Entered college with a 21:46 5k PR and low mileage background.

After: Ran 18:29 (5k), 37:42 (10k), and is now building toward a Boston Qualifier while working full-time as a nurse.

How: We built a training system around her demanding schedule, progressive 40-50 weekly mileage, 14-15 mile long runs, and an individualized workload she could sustain.

Why it matters: Kya represents what happens when structure meets consistency, resulting in real progress, even with a busy life.

Pablo Sanz-Rillo

International Racewalker + Olympic Trials Hopeful

Before: Stuck at 23:32 (5k RW) and 13:24 (3k RW), struggling with technique, inconsistent mileage, and fear of disqualificaiton.

After: Dropped to 21:40 (5k RW) and 12:22 (3k RW) in just 9 months, rebuilt confidence, and is preparing for the Olympic Trials and world level racing.

How: Dialed-in technique refinement, visualization training, sports psychology, consistent weekly mileage, long runs, and race-specific drills.

Why it matters: Pablo shows how elite athletes can unlock their next level when coaching respects both the physical and mental side of performance.

These athletes represent many of the first generation of the PPRC ELITE squad and share similar success stories. Their progress shows what's possible when coaching meets belief, structure, and the right process.

I’m training in Texas right now, and let me tell you it’s hot! It’s almost peak summer season, and while the heat can build you up in getting pretty darn fit… it can also burn you out.

In this reel, I’m breaking down the basics of heat acclimation training to help you prepare to run at your best this Fall:
* Ease into running to safely acclimate
* Hydrate smart with electrolytes
* Cooling down core body temps
* Train by effort, not pace

I’ve coached high school state champs, national qualifiers, All-Americans, and military candidates preparing for elite-level fitness tests. No matter your level — heat training is a game-changer when done right.

Watch the reel. Save it. Send it to a teammate.
And if you want a custom training plan built for real-world conditions…

📩 DM the word ‘HEAT’ and let’s get to work.

I first heard about Esteban during my first year as Head Cross Country Coach at Saint Martin’s University. The team told me about this guy who ran 14 miles — on the indoor track — completely on his own. Assuming they were hinting he should join us, I got in touch. That’s when I found out he was running 100-mile weeks, by himself, without a coach.

His raw endurance and self-motivation were incredible. When he joined the team, he immediately became one of the hardest workers, bringing energy and grit to the men’s team during the year he was with us before graduating.

Esteban started running after soccer, just to stay active, but it quickly turned into a passion. Soccer’s competitive edge helped, but the mental toughness running demands was a whole new challenge.

Running the Boston Marathon felt like proof of all his hard work paying off. The intensity and shared goals among runners and supporters stuck with him most.

When he learned he needed hip surgery, it wasn’t a total surprise, but it was tough — especially after the first surgery didn’t work. He’s leaned on his support system and focused on staying positive.

Through it all, he’s learned not to tie his identity too tightly to one sport. Now working as a medical assistant and planning to become a doctor, he’s focused on recovery and overall health first.

After healing up, he’s most excited to get back to soccer. Running will always be part of him, but health comes first.

His advice? Be patient and listen to your body. Health always comes first, and even the longest recoveries can lead to the strongest comebacks.
