Youth Development Coaching

Promoting Athleticism through Speed, Strength, and Confidence Building

Running isn't just for runners. The very foundation of most sports is built on running as part of conditioning, whether that's sprinting or distance running. During our training sessions, we focus on building many forms of movement - speed, coordination, agility, and endurance.

Our Youth Development Program is designed to help kids and teens develop those skills in a safe, age-appropriate way that builds athleticism, resilience, and confidence.

Whether your child plays soccer, basketball, baseball, football, or competes in track and cross country, our structured training will give them an edge in their development. By focusing on the fundamentals of movement, we help athletes improve their performance and lay the groundwork for long-term success.

Why Work With a Coach?

Hiring a running coach isn't just about running. It's about teaching kids how to train with intention and purpose, build healthy habits, and understand the process of improvement.

We make training fun, challenging, and supportive so young athletes learn to love movement while seeing results in their sport.

Training in the heat isn’t just about pushing through — it’s about adapting.

I’m training in Texas right now, and let me tell you it’s hot! It’s almost peak summer season, and while the heat can build you up in getting pretty darn fit… it can also burn you out.

In this reel, I’m breaking down the basics of heat acclimation training to help you prepare to run at your best this Fall:
* Ease into running to safely acclimate
* Hydrate smart with electrolytes
* Cooling down core body temps
* Train by effort, not pace

I’ve coached high school state champs, national qualifiers, All-Americans, and military candidates preparing for elite-level fitness tests. No matter your level — heat training is a game-changer when done right.

Watch the reel. Save it. Send it to a teammate.
And if you want a custom training plan built for real-world conditions…

I first heard about Esteban during my first year as Head Cross Country Coach at Saint Martin’s University. The team told me about this guy who ran 14 miles — on the indoor track — completely on his own. Assuming they were hinting he should join us, I got in touch. That’s when I found out he was running 100-mile weeks, by himself, without a coach.

His raw endurance and self-motivation were incredible. When he joined the team, he immediately became one of the hardest workers, bringing energy and grit to the men’s team during the year he was with us before graduating.

Esteban started running after soccer, just to stay active, but it quickly turned into a passion. Soccer’s competitive edge helped, but the mental toughness running demands was a whole new challenge.

Running the Boston Marathon felt like proof of all his hard work paying off. The intensity and shared goals among runners and supporters stuck with him most.

When he learned he needed hip surgery, it wasn’t a total surprise, but it was tough — especially after the first surgery didn’t work. He’s leaned on his support system and focused on staying positive.

Through it all, he’s learned not to tie his identity too tightly to one sport. Now working as a medical assistant and planning to become a doctor, he’s focused on recovery and overall health first.

After healing up, he’s most excited to get back to soccer. Running will always be part of him, but health comes first.

His advice? Be patient and listen to your body. Health always comes first, and even the longest recoveries can lead to the strongest comebacks.

#AthleteJourneyMid-summer miles feeling stale?

It’s normal to hit a slump when the easy miles starts become bland. But what if I told you that mileage building is not exclusive to building your summer foundation? Add these key elements to stay engaged:

✅ Short track reps to keep your legs springy
✅ Mix in hills to build speed and strength
✅ Progression runs to teach pace control and mental resilience
✅ Hit the trails to reconnect with nature and build durability
✅ Strength train to stay efficient and healthy
✅ Cross train (with intention) to increase volume without the extra pounding

Don’t let summer mileage turn into a mindless grind. Spice it up, stay engaged, and keep your goals in sight.

Not sure where to start?
I offer custom training plans to help you stay motivated, train smarter, and maximize YOUR performance.
